Boat rentals in Greece

Renting a boat in Greece: what to ask

Boat rentals in Greece range from licence-free motorboats along the Peloponnese coast to crewed catamarans and motor yachts in the Aegean and Ionian. The operators listed here are based in different regions, so the first practical step is choosing the departure point that fits your trip. Mani Boats Kardamili runs self-drive boats for couples, families and groups of friends from Kardamyli, including licence-free motorboats, speedboats and RIBs, and also offers guided trips with a local skipper. In Rhodes town, Rhodes Rent a Boat operates catamarans for group cruises and island-hopping, and offers a half-day private cruise aboard the Phantom, a 20-metre power RIB for up to 25 guests, with food and an open bar included. MG Yachts works from Lefkas Marina in Lefkada with motor yachts, catamarans, motor sailers and sailing yachts, and can provide experienced skippers. In Attica, Cavo Yachting in Alimos arranges monohulls, catamarans and motor yachts as bareboat, skippered or crewed charters. Privateboatskefalonia, based in Kato Kateleios, states that its boats can be used without a licence and that no security deposit is required, and Captain Yiannis gives instructions and a test drive before departure. Ask each operator directly about skipper requirements, prices, what is included and availability for your dates.
