Renting a boat in Alimos: what to ask

Boat rentals in Alimos cluster around the marina and the avenues that lead to it, and the operators listed here range from sailing schools to catamaran charter specialists. Cavo Yachting on Eleftherias Avenue arranges monohulls, catamarans and motor yachts as bareboat, skippered or crewed charters. Vlamis Yacht Charter Greece runs its reception at Alimos Marina, Pier 4, and combines charters with yacht management and a sailing school. Le Grand Bleu on Kalamaki Avenue focuses on catamaran charters and cruises, while SOLID | Catamaran at Pier 4 uses its catamaran for corporate gatherings and tours along the Athens Riviera and nearby islands.

Because the members differ in what they offer, the useful questions are practical ones. Ask whether a boat comes with a skipper or is self-drive, and whether any boat can be taken out without a licence; only some operators state their crewing arrangements, so confirm directly. If you want a RIB, a party on board or a honeymoon trip, say so when you enquire, since not every operator lists those uses. Prices are generally given on request, so ask for a quote covering your dates and group size rather than relying on a published rate.
