Renting a boat in Syvota, Epirus: what to ask

Boat rentals in Syvota come from a cluster of local operators working out of the town and its harbour, most of them arranging hire directly with customers rather than through a walk-in office. Anchor Boats Sivota rents out boats and RIBs for trips on the Ionian Sea, and Paradise Cruise Sivota offers motor boats, speedboats and yachts alongside cruises along the coast around Syvota, Parga, Paxos and Corfu. Filakas Boats Sivota has been running since 1980 and operates a fleet of 25 boats covering all categories, with a local captain available to tell customers about the places they visit. Syvota Rent a Boat works from the port and is open daily from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, while Syvota Boat is based at Galikos Molos.

Several operators list RIBs, including Ionion Gateway Cruise Rent a Rib boat, Blue Lagoon Cruise Rent a Rib Boat Sivota and Sivota Explore Boats, the last of which also runs boat tours around Syvota and Paxos. Others, such as Salt Speed Boat, focus on motor boats. Details on skippered versus self-drive hire, boats that can be used without a licence, crew, party use, honeymoon trips and prices are not published here, so ask each operator directly when you enquire.
