Catamaran cruises in Santorini: what to ask
Catamaran cruises in Santorini leave from several points around the island, and the operators listed here run both private charters and shared trips. Santorini Yachting Cruises, based in Fira, uses catamarans and motor boats for private events and sunset cruises, and can coordinate catering, drinks, music and photography. Renieris Santorini Sailing Center, also in Fira, runs semi-private catamaran cruises that take between 16 and 20 guests depending on the cruise booked, as well as private and skippered charters to nearby islands. In Kamari, Aegean Wonder covers catamaran trips, sunset and volcano excursions, and wedding cruises.
Other operators work from different bases. Santorini Catamaran & Yachts Luxury Cruises operates from Vlychada port and offers private and shared sailing cruises. Caldera Yachting Santorini, in Monolithos, runs catamaran cruises and holds a certification for COVID-19 hygiene measures. Santorini Sailing, in Firostefani, offers catamarans and yachts for group charters and private celebrations on the water. When comparing trips, ask each operator directly about private versus shared arrangements, day or sunset timing, and exactly what is included on board.

Questions to ask
Can I book a private catamaran rather than a shared trip?
Several operators offer private charters. Santorini Yachting Cruises, Renieris Santorini Sailing Center, Aegean Wonder, Sirigos Yachting and Santorini Catamaran & Yachts Luxury Cruises all state private options. Ask each business what a private booking includes and how it differs from their shared cruises.
What is included in the price of a catamaran cruise?
Inclusions vary by operator and trip. Santorini Yachting Cruises says it can arrange catering, drinks, music and photography for private events. For other cruises, confirm with the business what food, drinks and extras are part of the booking before you reserve.
Do any operators run sunset cruises?
Santorini Yachting Cruises and Aegean Wonder both list sunset cruises among their services. Sirigos Yachting mentions a wedding on a yacht option in the morning or at sunset. Ask each operator about departure times and how the sunset timing affects the route.
How many guests are on a shared catamaran cruise?
Renieris Santorini Sailing Center states that its semi-private catamaran cruises take between 16 and 20 guests depending on the cruise booked. Other operators do not state group sizes in their listings, so ask them directly if capacity matters to you.
