About this venue

The Archaeological Museum of Isthmia is an archaeological museum within the archaeological site of the sanctuary of Isthmian Poseidon. The building was designed by architect Paul Mylonas. It displays finds uncovered by excavations in Mycenaean cemeteries of the area, the sanctuary of Poseidon, the Roman bath, the Justinian Wall, the Rachi of Isthmia hill and the port of Kechries. The glassware from the temple of Isis at Kechries is a prominent exhibit.
